Nice Scalp Oil

Looks: this batana oil has a very runny, just like any other loose scalp oil. I never knew that batana oil could be applied to the scalp and not washed off. This gives me the impression that it's very refined and not 100% pure batana oil.Smell: the oil has a subtle earthy smell. I really had to take a big whiff to be able to truly smell it. That was nice because I found it to not be overwhelming and I could wear it out and about without being self conscious about how my hair is smelling.Texture: this oil has a very smooth texture to it. It's like cooking oil, it just runs right out of the bottleWorkings: I will say, I was nervous about using this scalp oil because I have never known batana oil to not be washed out. I have a very sensitive scalp so I was worried about it causing irritation, but so far it has not. I apply a VERY small amount and try to rub it around as much as possible. I also don’t use it everyday. I'll have to keep using it to see if I notice any differences to my hair or hair growth. I like that the bottle comes with two different applicator tips to make getting the oil onto my scalp easyIngredients: The ingredient list says its "100% pure batana oil"

Huge bottle for the price.

This is a great price at around $15. Much bigger bottle than you would normally get. There are a couple different methods of extracting Batana oil. Cold-pressed which results in a thinner, sweeter, nuttier smell. And Heat extracted which involves burning and then extracting the oil resulting in a thicker, darker consistency with a more burnt smell. This oil seems to be heat extracted. I’ve had others that the smell was terrible. Like burnt tobacco. This one however, while it does have a little burnt smell, is much more subdued and I still get a little of the nutty aromas coming though. I still personally prefer cold pressed Batana oil. But this product is a good price and perfectly usable. I like the applicator with the comb tip to apply through hair to the scalp. It works well and is a neat idea. For me, I actually use this as a hair styling product. The thicker slightly sticky nature of this actually helps it to keep hair in place just a little more so than the lighter oils. My hair is shiny and looks great. I would recommend this if you want the more smokey scent and thicker consistency for your use.

Batana oil

This is my first organic batana oil and I really like it. I love that it doesn't smell like the usual coffee. It doesn't have a fruity sweet smell either...like organic. It's funny as I type it out but it's organic and if you know, you know.I have bad dandruff and dry scalp so I'm always looking for the next best thing. I love all the oils and this one I mix with organic coconut oil. I spread it evenly on my scalp after washing and leave it. It does my scalp wonders...feels good and fresh, best way to describe. I like that this one comes with 2 options, you can comb it through or place drops where you want it.

Good Quality

I've incorporated batana in my hair routine because my type 4 hair absolutely loves it. I use this after I use my liquid leave in & it keeps my hair moisturized & it's so much easier to manage. I've also used this as a hot oil treatment for my scalp & hair. Loved it!
